Annual Day Celebration at Shalom Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Shalom Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated its Junior Annual Day with unparalleled grandeur on 7th February 2025. The school was transformed into a breathtaking spectacle, adorned with twinkling lights and a cascade of colorful flags, creating an enchanting and festive ambience.
The much-awaited event commenced with a solemn and heartfelt opening prayer by the angelic Rowena of Standard 3, setting a reverent and divine tone. The school choir then took center stage, rendering the soulful hymn Blessed Assurance, enthralling the audience with their melodious harmony. This was followed by a mesmerizing Bharatanatyam performance, where the dancers gracefully swayed to the rhythm, extending a warm and elegant welcome to the audience.
The youngest stars of the school stole the hearts of everyone present with their adorable and captivating performances. The tiniest tots, pre KG children, lit up the stage with their endearing dance to the song Sapne Re Sapne Mere, while the LKG boys delivered a fiery and dynamic chair dance, setting the stage ablaze with their exuberance. The LKG girls, beaming with delight, held colorful balloons and tapped their feet to an enchanting melody, creating a scene straight out of a fairytale. The UKG students followed with a beautifully choreographed dance to the soul-stirring song Goodness of God, leaving the audience utterly spellbound.
The stage continued to radiate with energy as the Standard 1 students performed a spirited dance to My God is So Big, So Strong and So Mighty, exuding enthusiasm and joy. The UKG children showcased a touching and meaningful play, highlighting the virtue of extending a helping hand to others, imparting a significant life lesson to the spectators. Standard 2 students showcased their flair for dance through a lively and jubilant performance to the song It is a Beautiful Day, leaving the audience basking in the glow of their exuberance.
Adding a dramatic touch to the evening, Standard 1 students portrayed an invaluable moral message on the virtue of being considerate through an expressive and thought-provoking mime performance. As the grand finale approached, the stage erupted in euphoria as the students delivered a high-energy, electrifying performance to Bum Bum Bole, ensuring the celebration concluded on a note of unbridled joy and excitement.
The event was flawlessly compered by the eloquent and charismatic Grade 5 students Prem Jackson, Joshua Raj, and Akashsrinika, alongside the poised and confident Grade 6 student Aadlin, ensuring a seamless flow of the program with their engaging presence.
